Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of HireUS Logistics, including our WhatsApp booking assistant, dispatch rider service, and website. Please read them carefully before booking a delivery or working with us as a rider.

1. Who we are

HireUS Logistics ("HireUS", "we", "us", "our") is a technology-driven logistics platform based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. We connect customers who need pickups and deliveries with independent, verified dispatch riders, primarily through a WhatsApp-based booking assistant.

By messaging our WhatsApp number, placing a booking, using this website, or registering as a rider, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Our services

HireUS provides dispatch rider booking, same-day and express delivery, and business delivery services within Port Harcourt. All bookings are coordinated through our AI-powered WhatsApp assistant, which collects pickup and drop-off details, estimates pricing, and assigns a verified rider to your order.

Delivery times, pricing estimates, and rider availability are provided in good faith but may vary due to traffic, weather, rider availability, or other conditions outside our control.

3. Bookings and pricing

Pricing for a delivery is calculated based on distance, item type, and, where applicable, real-time mapping data. An estimated price is shared with you on WhatsApp before your booking is confirmed. You agree to pay the confirmed price through the payment method offered at checkout.

You are responsible for providing accurate pickup and drop-off addresses, contact details, and a truthful description of the item being sent. HireUS is not responsible for delays or losses caused by inaccurate information provided at booking.

4. Payments

Payments made through the platform are processed by our licensed third-party payment processor. HireUS does not store your full card or bank details. All payments are subject to the payment processor's own terms and security measures.

Refunds, where applicable, are assessed on a case-by-case basis — for example, where a rider fails to arrive or a delivery cannot be completed due to a fault on our side. Contact us to request a refund review.

5. Prohibited items

You may not use HireUS to send illegal items, weapons, hazardous or flammable materials, illicit drugs, live animals, cash or negotiable financial instruments, or any item prohibited under Nigerian law. We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or return any delivery that violates this policy without a refund.

6. Riders

Dispatch riders on the HireUS platform are independent contractors and not employees of HireUS. Riders must complete our verification process before accepting deliveries. While we take reasonable steps to verify riders, HireUS is not liable for the independent actions of a rider outside the scope of a confirmed delivery.

Riders agree to handle parcels with care, follow the delivery instructions provided, and comply with all applicable traffic and road safety laws while performing deliveries on the platform.

7. Liability

HireUS will take reasonable care in coordinating your delivery, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, HireUS is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from delays, missed deliveries, or rider conduct, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

For lost or damaged items, our liability is limited to the declared value of the item at the time of booking, or the delivery fee paid, whichever is lower, unless a higher liability is agreed to in writing.

8. Account and conduct

You agree not to misuse the platform — including submitting false booking requests, harassing riders or support staff, or attempting to circumvent our pricing or payment systems. We may suspend or refuse service to any user who violates these Terms.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of HireUS after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from your use of HireUS will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Rivers State, Nigeria.
